Know anyone with ALS or Alzheimer's Disease?

They need to see this!

With all of the modern medicine around (which has it's place but...), it never ceases to amaze me that God made things in nature to aid our bodies in healing themselves.  If you have a cut and you don't put any medication on it but you keep it clean, what usually happens to it?  It heals!

Many times, our bodies are made to heal themselves.  Other times, it takes an item from nature to aid our bodies to heal themselves.

Yesterday the 700 Club featured a bit about people suffering from ALS (a deadly illness also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease).  A surgeon's young daughter ended up getting this disease and, with a little experimenting, found a mixture of ingredients that helped to reverse this disease. It's not necessarily a cure, but it helps the person to live longer and with less symptoms.

Selling Like Crazy! Christian Handmade Jewelry

These items have been selling like crazy!

I REALLY like these!  Keep them in mind for gift giving!
At $20, they make a great gift!

I'd like to show you samples of my hand-stamped designs.
These can be custom ordered in my Etsy store or through my blog.

The top pics are of a necklace for "Life."  These would make great gifts for someone who is pregnant or who has little kids/babies.
I put a pink Swarovski crystal in this one but that can be changed to blue or any other color.

The "Life" necklace says, "Psalm 139" and "wonderful precious."

The bottom necklaces are called "Proverbs 31."
These were made for a MOPS group so the second charm says their name and "MOPS."

I can do these in copper and silver, silver and gold, or silver and silver.

...all of a sudden my car quit!  I totally lost power...couldn't steer...no gas.  I quickly hung up the phone, pulled into the nearest drive (which was an EXIT!), and began to pray.

I tried to start my car... to no avail.  I called my husband back and told him that I was stuck in a parking lot somewhere an hour and a half away.

It was the COOLEST thing though.  You know that verse, "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." (NLT Romans 8:28)

It just so happened that the parking lot where I broke down basically connected with the parking lot of the church we attended before we went into ministry full time.  How cool is that?  So my hubs called our pastor and he and his wife came to my rescue.

Pastor showed off his inner He-man and pushed my car into an actual parking spot.  Remember, I went in an exit.  A one way exit! Parked the wrong direction! (Hey grammar natzis, I know those aren't complete sentences.)

Pastor and his wife gave me their (new) car and sent me back home with hugs... and that's when the journey to my gift really began to unfold.

This journey will have an impact on my Spiritual life ~ for the rest of my life!

Running...

She used to have him
Somewhere along the way she left him
She needs him now

She is looking for him
She does everything to find him

He's not in the bottom of the bottle
He's not in the clubs
But she keeps looking there

Most of her friends don't have him either
She continues to look for him

One friend has him
One friend would like nothing more
than for her to find him

One friend sees how she is running
Running
Doing good deeds
Loving on people

All without him

When will she slow down enough to find
    what she is looking for

When the running stops
She will find him

And when she does
One friend will celebrate

The Journey to My Gift ~ Part 2

You can find The Journey to My Gift ~ Part 1 here: my testimony

...Sure enough, they had just what I needed so I set out on my journey.  The journey that I will never, ever forget!

What does a woman do in the car when she is all by herself?  Well, some would talk on the phone, not me! I don't like talking on the phone.  Some would listen to the radio, not me! Most of the time it just sounds like noise to me.  What did I do, you say? Worshiped.  I am a worshiper.  I know that everyone has different gifts, talents, abilities, and ways that they wired by God.  Each person is unique in design and make-up, and I am a worshiper.

I worshiped for about an hour and then I listened to part of a sermon for the remainder of my time in the car. I'm not even sure what the sermon was about but I do remember the part that impacted my life.  He said, what they do to you is out of your control. It's how you respond to them that matters.  When someone is talking negative (or nasty even) to you, how you respond is between you and God.  The preacher went on to give examples, most of which I didn't relate to but I tucked his words away in my heart anyway.

After a beautiful hour and a half or worship and connecting with God, I arrived at my destination.  I went in and (Praise the LORD) found what I had driven all the way there to get.  I decided that while I am there, I should stretch my legs and look around for a few minutes.  I really didn't NEED anything.

A woman walked down the isle toward me and I couldn't help but notice that she looked familiar.  Now, we used to live in this area of the state so I started going through my memories to find her.  Sure enough, I realized that I used to go to church with her and said hello.

For some reason, she didn't act like she wanted to talk to me.  ??? (I realized later why.) So, I decided that I wouldn't receive her negativity and I would praise her and pass my joy on to her.  Finally, after a few minutes of conversation, she warmed up to me and even opened up to me a bit.

I left the store happy that I had a positive impact on someone who was sick and tired and mostly negative.  As soon as I got in my car, the thought entered my mind as to what my past was with that woman. It wasn't good. I will just say that.

After I realized that my past with that woman wasn't pleasant, THEN I realized why she didn't want to talk to me!  I also realized that she didn't know that I didn't remember and thought I was being very nice to her regardless.  Praise the Lord!  He is sooooo good!  I'll be honest here, if I had remembered who she was and what she had done, I probably would have just left well enough alone.  Lesson learned.

As I headed home, I called my husband to let him know how amazing God was.  I no sooner told him about my "test" and all of a sudden my car quit!  I totally lost power...couldn't steer...no gas.  I quickly hung up the phone, pulled into the nearest drive (which was an EXIT!), and began to pray.

Worship ~ The sickness is gone

God is soooo good!

Dizziness came over me
Nausea followed

What is wrong with me?
I'm NOT sick!

Attack from the enemy
I will fight with FAITH!

I suffered
The whole room spun
I fought throwing up

For 2 1/2 hours I suffered

FINALLY
I got angry
...and desperate!

I'm NOT sick
The devil is already defeated!

So, I worshiped
For an hour and a half I worshiped

I laid there
Lifted my hands
Sang
Quoted Scripture
Worshiped in the Spirit
Prayed
Rested in Him

Gone

After an hour and a half
The symptoms are GONE!!!!!!

Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!

God is sooooo good!

One song I sang:

God Of Ages Lyrics

God Of Ages Lyrics

God of ages
Bringing glory here
You are good
You are good
Son of Righteousness
You are all i seek
With all my heart

Giver of life
Hope for the lost

The Journey to My Gift ~ Part 1

This story will probably be written in parts so as not to bore readers with looooong posts.  To be honest, I just need to get this story posted for my own remembrance and to chronicle my day.

I received a HUGE jewelry order for 29... yes! 29 Scripture Necklaces.  (That is the design that God gave me and are only made and copyrighted by ME! Yeah!!!)  The lady needed 18 of one Bible verse and 11 of another.  Needless to say, I didn't have enough supplies so I set out to get them.

I went from store to store in our area... couldn't find the supplies.  Oh dear... Now I had a choice to make.  Do I give in to fear and doubt or do I pray in FAITH?  Choices... (I like dots ....)  The choice was clear. God gave me the large order so He will provide the supplies!

I contacted the store that I need the supplies from and they couldn't find any in my area either.  Then it hit me, I used to live near Lafayette and I could take a trip there (down memory lane) and purchase my supplies!  Sure enough, they had just what I needed so I set out on my journey.  The journey that I will never, ever forget! (Especially since I am typing it out! LOL)

Firmoo Glasses Review & You can get a FREE pair too!

I had the privilege of reviewing a pair of prescription eyeglasses from Firmoo and I can't wait to tell you about them!  If you scroll down, you will find some info on how to get a FREE pair of Firmoo glasses for yourself!

To be honest, I've been wanting a pair of purple glasses for a while now, so I started on my search through the Firmoo site.

As I searched the site, these are the aspects that I liked the most:

  • I like the search options
  • Gives measurements of glasses without having to click ~ just hover over the pic
  • Gives choices of faces to see how the glasses look on a person (or you can use your own)
  • You are able to save a pair into favorites as you shop ~ very helpful
  • Pretty good selection ~ many choices
  • Many colors available (being an artist, I appreciate that)

Other purple glasses that I like:

Features:
  • Women's glasses
  • Metal
  • Semi rimless
  • Single vision
  • Color: Purple

"Celebrating" Halloween? See what John Ramirez has to say.

We all have choices to make.  One thing we have to choose is how we spend our holidays and celebrations.

So, as Christians, should we celebrate Halloween?  Everyone has their own opinion.  Some think it's ok and harmless.  Some think it's harmless only if you dress up in "good" costumes and carve "happy" pumpkins. Others say, no way; we're not celebrating the devil.  And then there is the group that says, we will use the devil's holiday to tell people about God.

I'm not writing this post to condemn anyone or to debate the big Halloween debate.  I would like to tell you what our experience is and share a very moving testimony from John Ramirez.  After you hear his story, you won't look at things the same way.
